Removal and installation of shock absorbers and springs



Rear shock absorber

1 - a gas-filled shock absorber;

2 - protective cap;

3 - a protective cover;

4 - buffer;

5 - the upper shock absorber;

6 - Self-locking nut, 25 Nm. When you install a new nut should be used;

7 - a decorative cap

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) wheel speed sensor.
2. Remove the wire clamp the wheel speed sensor.
3. On the car standing on wheels, remove the car from the bolts (1) the upper shock absorber to the vehicle body.
4. For the unloading of the spring rear suspension slowly lift the rear of the car so that the wheel is off the ground 10 cm.
5. Remove the rear spring from the poles and pull it out from under the car. If necessary, the assistant should rotate the rear axle down.
6. Unscrew the nut and remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolt, then remove the shock absorber from the car.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Set the shock absorber in place, insert the damper bolt and screw nut on him, without tightening it definitively.
2. Install the spring so that the end turns of the spring is properly positioned on the supports.
3. Lower the car to the ground so that the rear wheels are on the ground, but it was possible to access the upper mounting bolt rear shock.
4. Secure the upper part of the shock absorber to the body new bolts and tighten them to a torque of 75 Nm.
5. Completely lower the car plant and a man in the back seat.
6. Tighten the nut and bolt securing the lower rear shock absorber to 60 Nm.
