Withdrawal



Removal in the following order:
- Disconnect "minus" wire from the battery terminals;
- Remove the steering wheel;
- Stvernite screws and remove the upper and lower casings of a steering column;

A WARNING
For fixing screws used with the cut off head to be drilled out.

- Unscrewing the three screws, remove the steering column switch and unplug electrical connectors;
- Unscrew and remove the lower instrument panel trim and a shelf panel on the driver's side;
- Remove the pocket of the driver's side;
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition.
- Remove the bolts of the steering column;

- Unscrew the bolt of the upper and lower universal joint 11 (Fig. 11.4) and remove the steering column of a vehicle;

- Unscrewing three retaining screws (Fig. 11.5), remove the switch turns off and unplug the electrical connector;

- Remove the steering column clamping ring, spring 8 (Fig. 11.6) and the contact ring 6;
- Remove the screw securing the housing and remove the ignition key switch, moving it up the steering column;

Place the drilling holes with a diameter of 3 mm to remove the ignition key cylinder (a = 12 mm, b = 10 mm)

- To replace the ignition cylinder 7 drill hole 3 mm in diameter at the point indicated in the figure. 11.7;
- Click through the hole on the spring cylinder and remove the ignition key cylinder;
- Insert the new lock cylinder into the housing and turning the key in the ignition cylinder, the cylinder hook limiter;
- A pair of pliers, remove the gasket and remove the spring and slip ring;
- Remove the support ring;
- Loosen the clamping screw that secures the intermediate shaft to the lower end of the steering shaft;
- Remove the steering shaft and remove the spring.
- To replace the steering column lower bearing remove the bottom of the steering column housing.
- Install the new bearing by injecting it into place at the base of the column, using the corresponding tubular frame.
- Check the condition of parts and, if necessary, replace worn out.
