Check the pressure created by the pump



Engine when checking the pressure should be heated to operating temperature.
Check the pump by measuring its forward pressure.

Using the adapter, connect the pressure gauge directly to the pressure line of the pump with the valve open (Fig. 11.22, 11.23).

Start up the engine at idle.
To test the pump, close the valve on the meter, quickly remove the pressure and re-open the valve. If the pressure does not meet the standard (less than 7,5-8,2 MPa), replace the pump.

A WARNING
Close the valve is not more than 5 s can otherwise damage the pump.
