A warning

Attaching the wires (B + arrow) produce a tightening torque of 15 ? 1 Nm. If the tightening torque wires is less than required, it is possible that the occurrence of the following conditions:

- Reduces the battery charge status;
- Disrupted electrical equipment;
- As a result of arcing present a risk of fire;
- An increase in the voltage to the vehicle, resulting in the failure of the electronic control units.

The blue wire (D +) tighten to 3,2 ? 0,2 Nm.

The vehicles are equipped with alternators. Depending on the model, and mounted on the car electrical equipment can be installed generators of various capacities. When installing additional electrical equipment, make sure that the power generator was enough to power the equipment.

The drive generator is a V-belt from the engine crankshaft.

The generator is a three-phase synchronous electric car with electromagnetic excitation. To convert alternating current into direct current generator is integrated in the rectifier diodes. Voltage regulated microelectronic integrated voltage regulator.

When the generator is an electric current flowing through the field winding creates around the poles of the rotor flux. When the rotor under each stator tooth passes the south, the north pole of the rotor and the working magnetic flux passing through the stator teeth, changes in size and voltage. This creates an alternating magnetic flux in the stator winding electromotive force. The wedge shape of the pole pieces of the rotor is selected in such a way that provides a waveform of electromotive force is close to sinusoidal.

At high speed the rotor of the generator when the generator voltage becomes more than 13,6-14,6 In, the voltage regulator is locked and the current through the field winding does not pass. The voltage generator falls, the regulator opens and again passes a current through the field winding. The higher the speed of the rotor of the generator, the longer the controller locked state, therefore, the more decreases the output voltage of the generator. The process of locking and unlocking the controller comes with a high frequency, so the fluctuations in the output voltage of the generator is not visible, and you can almost consider it a constant, supported at the level of 13,6-14,6 B.

When checking the generator, as well as the operation of the vehicle is necessary to observe some simple rules that do not derive from the generator system:

Do not operate the generator with the generator disconnected from the battery clip. Without a battery in the vehicle electrical system having hazardous pulses of surge suppressors when disconnecting any power consumers. These surge voltages can damage the electronics of the car, including a voltage regulator and diode rectifier unit generator.

Do not check the operation of the generator the spark, even a short-term positive battery clamp connection of the generator to ground. This flows through the diodes significant current and they damage smiling. Monitor the voltage of the generator can only voltmeter.

Negative battery must always be connected with the mass of the vehicle and connected to a plus terminal of the generator. Wrong (reverse) switch batteries immediately cause the passage of high current through the diodes of the generator, and they will fail.

Do not check diodes pressure more than 12 or meggar kit because it has too high voltage diodes and they at check will be punched (a short circuit). When checking the insulation of the wiring meggar kit is necessary to disconnect all wires from the generator.

It is necessary to disconnect the wires from the generator and battery when electric welding of any parts of the body.

Check the circuit and electrical equipment and components you need to troubleshoot the engine stopped and the battery disconnected.
