Check the rear window defogger

Using a voltmeter probe to detect the rupture of a conductor of a heater of back glass

Application of the voltmeter to detect the broken conductor of a heater of back glass

Application of the voltmeter to detect the break conductor rear window defogger

Rear Defrost a plurality of horizontal conductors deposited on the inner surface of the rear window.

For detection of rupture of a conductor of a heater of back glass include ignition switch and rear window defogger.

Connect one lead of the voltmeter to the weight of the car and a second probe, wrap in foil and move a foil on a heater conductor, see. Fig. Using a voltmeter probe to detect the rupture of a conductor of a heater of back glass.

Connect a voltmeter to probe into the center of each conductor of a heater of back glass. If the voltmeter shows voltage of about 5 V, then the heater conductor is serviceable. If the voltmeter shows voltage of 0 V or 12 V, it means there is a rupture of a conductor of a heater, see. Fig. Application of the voltmeter to detect the broken conductor of a heater of back glass.

To detect the break conductor of a heater connect one lead of the voltmeter to the positive terminal of the heater and a second probe move on a heater conductor from the negative terminal of the heater. The point at which the voltage shown by the voltmeter, will fall about several volt to zero and is the site of rupture of a conductor of a heater, see. Fig. Application of the voltmeter to detect the break conductor rear window defogger.
