Multipurpose switches of a steering column



Location of screws in the lower column cover

1 - the top casing of a steering column

Location of screws securing the bottom of the column cover

1 - a bolt,
2 - locking lever adjustable steering column,
3 - the bottom casing of a steering column

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Turn off the ignition and remove a wire of weight from the accumulator.
2. Remove the air bag to the central part of the steering wheel.
3. Set the steering wheel to move straight ahead.
4. Remove the central bolt (2) of the steering wheel (1) and remove the steering wheel.
5. Remove the two screws from the lower column cover, see. Fig. Arrangement of screws in the lower column cover.
6. Remove the top cover (1) of the steering column, see. Fig. Location of screws in the lower column cover.
7. Remove the four screws holding the bottom casing of a steering column, see. Fig. Arrangement of screws of fastening of the bottom casing of a steering column.
8. Using a hex wrench, unscrew the screw (1). See Fig. Arrangement of screws of fastening of the bottom casing of a steering column.
9. Remove the bottom casing of a steering column.
Loosen the bolt of the multifunction switch on the steering column.
10. Disconnect the multifunction switch electrical connectors. Keep in mind that the coil spring is on the multifunction steering column switch, so do not turn when removing the spring from the middle position.
11. Remove the multifunction switch.

Setting

Set multifunction switch

1 - the steering wheel,
2 - multifunction switch
3 - bolt switch

a = 3 mm


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Place the multi-function switch on the steering column, but at this stage to tighten the bolt of the multifunction switch.
2. Install the steering wheel.
3. Moving, set the multi-function switch (2) in such a position that the distance (a) between the steering wheel (1) and the multi-function switch is 3 mm. See Fig. Set the multifunction switch.
4. Remove the steering wheel and set the upper and lower casings of a steering column.
5. Install the steering wheel.
6. Install the air bag in the center of the steering wheel.
7. Connect the ground cable to the battery.
