The switches are located in the arm of the driver's door.

1 - the driver's door,
2 - the front passenger door,
3 - safety switch,
4 - right rear door
5 - rear left door

In addition, the front passenger door and in the rear doors are additional switches for the respective windows.

Through the safety switch in the driver's door 3 rear electric windows can be disabled.

Unlock the safety switch, the switches in the rear doors are functional.

The safety switch is fixed, the switches in the rear doors are off.

Power windows with automatic control of closing the windows are equipped with overload protection.

Closing the window automatically stops when the path of the glass there is an obstacle. This, however, does not occur when the window is closed from the outside through the ignition switch - overload protection is not activated.

Action windows with the ignition

Opening

By clicking on the appropriate radio button in front (driver's door) or on the bottom of the switch (right front door and rear door) and short-term retention in this position the window is opened fully (automatic when lowering the glass).

Repeated exposure to the switch, the glass is stopped once.

Closing the window using automation (front doors)

By briefly picked up the front (driver's door) or click on the upper face (right front door) of the corresponding switch box is closed completely (automatic when picked up the glass).

Repeated exposure to the switch immediately stops the glass.

Rear door windows are equipped with automatic lowering device only glasses. To close the window, hold the switch until it reaches the desired position of the glass.

Overload protection

1 - If the movement of the window glass when closing one of the front doors that no obstacles (overload protection), the window opens once again.

2 - Once the window opens, you should within 5 seconds once again raise the appropriate window switch and hold it. If the window is not closed due to the difficulty of moving the window or the presence of any obstacles, glass stops in an intermediate position.

3 - Once the glass has stopped, you have 5 seconds once again raise the switch and hold it to close the window. Now, the window will close without overload protection.

If pause between separate your actions exceed 5 seconds with a new impact on the switch fully opens the window again.

Closing the window without the help of automation

Hold the switch in the raised position of the upper edge (the driver's window) or click on the upper face of the switch (right front window and rear side windows) until the window is completely closed.

Please note that the window is closed without action overload protection device.

Action windows with the ignition off

Operable windows for a further 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off, until one of the front doors had not been opened.

On vehicles with central locking of the window can also be opened or closed from the outside. To do this, just hold the key in the lock of one of the front door in the position lock or unlock.

Opening

When you forward (driver's window) or on the bottom (to the right front window and rear side windows) the respective switch and SHORT-TERM Mr. hold in this position the window is opened fully (automatic when lowering the glass).

Repeated exposure to the switch immediately stops the glass.

Closing

Hold the front edge swi A in the raised position (driver's window) or upper bound down (for the right front window and rear side windows) up until the window is completely closed. Automatic closing window does not apply.

If the movement of the window glass when closing one of the front doors is difficult or that it prevents any window opens once again (overload).

In this case, the window can be closed, only turning the ignition.

After disconnecting and then joining the vehicle's battery, automatic lowering and lifting the glass front doors stops functioning.

To restore the automation, you must do the following:

- Lock the vehicle from the outside through one of the front doors. At the same time, make sure that all doors and windows are completely closed;

- Re-lock the vehicle by means of one of the front doors. Thus hold the key in the locking position, at least one second.

Automatic lifting of the front windows, as well as lowering all the windows will be enabled again.

If there was a fault in the power windows, these are signaled by flashing backlight switches in the front doors and in the rear doors.

If the ignition is switched on all the lights are flashing inserts in door trims for about 15 seconds. You should contact the service company Volkswagen.
