Installing the engine and gearbox
Engine installation is carried out in reverse order, with the following: - Before connecting the engine and transmission check the release bearing and replace if necessary. Lightly cover the clutch and the clutch shaft splines graphite lubricant; - Ensure that the dowel sleeves are installed in the engine block. If necessary, light blows drown hub unit before connecting the gearbox flange; - When installing the power unit in the engine compartment ensure that the transmission went inside without touching the drive shafts; - Verify the installation supports the engine and transmission, which is slightly shake the power unit from side to side to ensure its free installation. If necessary, loosen the legs from the body and then tighten. When tightening the support of the engine and gearbox follow Fig. 21 and 22;

- When attaching the equalizer suspension gearboxes used in Fig. 23. Blow enter bolt 1 in the direction indicated, and screw the nut. Screw the three nuts 2 below. Inside the sleeve support assembly is that when tightening the screws will rotate, so you must still keep the bolt head while tightening the nuts to 50 Nm. The remaining three nuts on vehicles manufactured before the end of 1995 to tighten the moment 25 Nm Release 1996 - 35 N ? m;

- Reconnect with the gearbox drive shaft. To tighten the mounting shaft is required to use a special key, to avoid damaging the bolt heads. For safety reasons, the vehicle must be put on wheels. Bolts tightened to 45 Nm; - Reconnect the control rod. The guide screw with a pointed end (marked with an arrow in Fig. 19) must always be replaced. Because it is processed with special grease must be thoroughly clean the threads in the finger;

- Reattach drive cable clutch control (see. Sec. "Coupling"); - If the car is equipped with power steering, set the pump of the amplifier and tighten the belt; - Set in reverse order of the holder of the bonnet (see. Fig. 16). At the same time pay attention to all the connections have been restored and no wires remain unconnected. When mounting the bumper used in Fig. 17;

- If the car has air conditioning, set his arm and all the removed parts, as shown in Fig. 14. Install and tighten the belt; - Fill the cooling system; - Check and, if necessary, adjust the throttle actuator; - Check and, if necessary, adjust the ignition timing; - Complete the engine and transmission oil; - Start up the engine, warm it up to normal operating temperature and check the tightness of all connection points in the cooling and lubrication. Please observe the following tightening torque Nm: - Engine / gearbox, M10 45 - Engine / gearbox, M12 80 - The starter motor / gearbox 20 - Exhaust pipe / muffler reception pipe 40 - The finger control / traction control 25 - Front engine mounting see.
