Check and repair of the oil pump
The pump can be dismantled by removing the pump cover with maslozabornikom to gain access to the gears of the pump. On gears carried out two types of check. When exceeding the maximum permissible wear is best to install a new pump. Maslozabornik can be washed with petrol. To determine the wear of the oil pump is necessary to:

- Thoroughly clean the pump and insert a probe between the side surfaces of the teeth, as shown in Fig. 93. If the probe can be inserted more than 0.20 mm thick, so wear limit is reached. Measurement revealed the backlash of gears, which at the new gear is 0.05 mm. The results of measurements can be judged on the degree of wear of the pump; | Fig. 94. - To establish a protractor on the surface of the pump and probe to measure the gap between the plane of the polygon and the upper side gear as shown Naris. 94. If you can enter the probe of a thickness exceeding 0.15 mm - wear limit is reached, the pump must be replaced; - Remove the cover of pump parts reducing valve and check them out. If the parts are worn, replace the valve or pump.
