Withdrawal

Like the steering without power steering, you need to drop the stretcher to remove the steering mechanism. When removing the need to perform the following operations:
- To perform the work described in Section. 10.1.1 to remove the steering to remove the contact screws of the intermediate shaft through the hole in the foot space and car installation on supports inclusive. Also, disconnect both sides of the tie rods (see. Fig. 237);

- Pinch tube extending from the fluid reservoir, using the appropriate clamp or drain the tank with a syringe;
- Disconnect the wire on one side of the lambda sensor on the mount;
- Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold (see. Fig. 238) and disconnect the cable shift mechanism from the gearbox and the mount (see. Sec. "Transmission");

- Disconnect the line at the connection to the steering mechanism. When disconnecting a single connection will require insertion of the end member or ring spanner "19 mm". To place another connection access is very difficult. A method of mounting is shown in Fig. 250. Required tools manufactured by Hazet under the number 4550. Seal threaded holes in the steering equipment. Disconnect from the clamps securing the tube / line;

Unscrewing hydraulic fittings at the junctions of highways to steering equipment

- Unscrew the screws from the bottom of the steering equipment;
- Disconnected from the gearbox balancing suspension (unscrew the bolt and nut);
- To establish a sub-frame jack and unscrew the bolts of the subframe;
- Slowly lowering the subframe to the point where the steering mechanism at the junction with the universal joint can be disconnected from the side gear and remove. It does not allow distortion splined gears.
Installing the steering is carried out in reverse order of removal. Tighten the steering torque of 30 Nm. Pay attention to the fact that the mounting bracket is securely seated in the rubber sleeve. Recommendations for installation of a steering without the amplifier apply to work with power steering. Tightening torques are shown in Fig. 249. Upon completion of work the system to fill with fluid and check the front axle.
