Removing and installing rear suspension

Parts rear suspension
Fig. 278. Details of the rear axle: 1 - the wheel bolts, 110 Nm; 2 - the brake drum wheel bearing; 3 - bolt 60 Nm, is used with an elastic washer (4); 4 - elastic washer; 5 - directing the parking brake cable; 6 - bolt 60 Nm, without using the elastic washer (4); 7 - the holder of the parking brake cable; 8 - the parking brake cable; 9 - nut 65 Nm; 10 - Rubber Bearing trailing arm suspension; 11 - axle; 12 - the holder of the parking brake cable; 13 - a bolt (insert from inside to outside); 14 - wiring (system ABS); 15 - an arm of the bearing beams of the bridge; 16 - bolt 10 Nm; 17 - the wheel speed sensor; 18 - a bolt; 19 - shock; 20 - nut 55 Nm; 21 - pin hub; 22 - Shield brake with brake pads

In Fig. 278 presents the details of the rear suspension. It is necessary to take into account the difference in the amount of the brake drums in vehicles with ABS are larger in size.
To remove the rear suspension is necessary to do the following
- To turn away in the car the two screws and remove cover from the top of the mount of the shock absorber;
- Remove the cover from the hood shock absorber;

Using a special wrench to loosen the upper elements of the shock absorber struts
Fig. 279. The use of a special wrench to loosen the upper elements of the shock absorber struts

- Disconnect the upper side of the body amortiztornoy rack. At the same time, most likely, will have to hold in a fixed position of the piston rod at a time when using a box wrench to turn away a nut. Fig. 279 shows how to install the key used for locking the piston rod. Nuts do not turn away completely;
- Fold up the cover of the handbrake lever. Below it will be visible to the parking brake cables. Loosen the nuts on the ends of the cables to remove the ropes and then;
- On cars with ABS Disconnect the wheel speed sensor from the connector. It is located under the rear seat. Then push the wire through the hole in the bottom of the car;
- Loosen the wheel nuts on both sides;
- Lift the rear of the car and set it on supports;
- Pull the cable out of the control lever on the parking brake lever. Release the cables of the fasteners;
- Disconnect the brake hose from the mount on the brake lines;
- To establish a jack in the middle of the rear axle and lift axle beam;

Suspension strut rear suspension
Fig. 280. Suspension strut rear suspension: 1 - the shock absorber; 2 - the bottom cup spring; 3 - lower spring seat; 4 - the stem with thrust ring; 5 - a spring; 6 - a protective cover; 7 - a protective cover; 8 - a rubber buffer; 9 - spring seat; 10 - washer; 11 - the top cup of a spring; 12 - Spacing sleeve; 13 - lower mounting ring made of rubber; 14 - a nut 15 N ? m; 15 - a cover; 16 - upper sealing cap made of rubber; 17 - Belleville washer; 18 - a nut 15 N ? m; 19 - nut 25 Nm; 20 - resistant plate; 21 - upper case

- Completely unscrew the nuts from both ends of the piston rods of shock absorbers (shock absorber struts). After unscrewing the top nuts to remove all items from the top of the shock absorber (Fig. 280);
- For vehicles with brake-force release of the spring clip on the rear axle;
- Remove the lower side of the two nuts absorber (Fig. 281). Bolts until the extract;

Location nuts damper
Fig. 281. Location nuts damper

- Disconnect the exhaust system from the body or completely remove the back part of the system;
- Disconnect the nut bolts axle beam (bolt heads inside the lock) and gently dislodge the bolts. Make sure that the axle is securely held jack;
- Slowly lower the rear axle on the jack and pull it back. Then remove the shock absorbers.
Installing the rear axle is carried out in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following:
- Slowly raise the rear axle and simultaneously insert the shock absorber rods into the holes in the trunk, the stem of the shock absorber setting, all previously taken with him the details. Install the upper sealing cap 16 (see. Fig. 280), the plate 20 and the nut 19, tightening it to a torque of 15 Nm;
- When combined with the axle body in a horizontal position (the same as in the unloaded condition of the vehicle). This can be achieved if the lift the rear end of the trailing arm under the brake drum to output to a horizontal position. Remember that the bolts 13 (see. Fig. 278) are inserted from the inside out. These nuts should be tightened to 65 Nm;

Position the shock absorber with respect to the beam of the bridge before tightening the nuts (and = 95 ?°)
Fig. 282. The position of the shock absorber with respect to the beam of the bridge before tightening the nuts (and = 95 ?)

- Tightening at the bottom of the shock absorber is necessary, so that it is at an angle of 95 ? to the beam of the bridge, as shown in Fig. 282. Tighten the attachment of shock absorbers only in this position. The nut is tightened to 55 Nm;
- Install the wheel speed sensor and retaining bolt;
- To connect the parking brake cables and brake hose and adjust the parking brake. Remove air from the braking system, as described in podrazd.14.5.6.
