Check overheating sensor

Disconnect the clamp sensor with an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between the clamp and the body. At low temperatures, its value will be very large. The higher the engine temperature becomes, the smaller the resistance.
The problem may also be linked with remote thermometer. To speed up the check cable, as previously described, to disconnect from the terminals and close to the body with the ignition. Switch on the ignition. Arrow remote thermometer in the instrument panel should immediately take the position of "hot". The test is carried out only for a very short time, so as not to damage the remote thermometer. Again, switch the ignition off.
