Removing and installing the generator

The construction of generators installed on a 2.0-liter engine and VR6, is shown in (Fig. 334) and (Fig. 335), respectively.

Removing the alternator should be undertaken in the following order: - Remove the "minus" to the output wire AB. Bend the cable from the pole O AB (to avoid accidental contact); - Remove the drive ribbed belt; - Disconnect from the casing of the generator electrical connector and wire to the separate terminal; - Remove the bolts of the generator to an arm, remove them and remove the generator. Installation of the generator spend in the reverse order of removal. Insert the ribbed belt pulley groove and adjust its tension.
