Installation of a camshaft and camshaft oil seal into the cylinder head

Good grease and insert pushers in accordance with the marks put on them in the holes. If the tappets are removed, be sure to read the instructions.
Liberally oil the camshaft bearings in the locations. Install the camshafts in their bed, and rotate them several times. Set the shafts so that the two cams of the first cylinder on two shafts looked up.

Individual elements of the camshaft
Fig. 435. Individual elements of a camshaft 1 - camshaft; 2 - a cover of the bearing of the camshaft; 3 - a washer; 4 - nut 20 Nm; 5 - rear bearing cover; 6 - a cogwheel of a camshaft; 7 - washer; 8 - bolt 45 Nm

Guided Fig. 435, put on the lid bearing number 1, 3 and 5 and hand Push nut. Since the bearing caps are displaced, then check whether they are sitting. To this end, guided by the pattern 406, determine whether the lid was put on.
Tighten the nuts of bearing caps installed alternately and crosswise in several passes torque of 20 Nm. Make sure the surface is opposite the surface covers the cylinder head.
Put the lid number 2 and number 4 and tighten the nut. Tighten nuts alternately and crosswise in several passes torque of 20 Nm.
Take the oil seal camshaft and see which side is the spring. The party on which the spring should be directed inward. Lubricate the sealing surface (it should also grease the running surface of the camshaft). To install a new oil seal can be used tube of suitable diameter. The pipe must be fully consistent with the size of the outer part of the gland.

Removing the camshaft oil seal using the special tool
Fig. 439. Removing the camshaft oil seal using the special tool

Push gland directly and blows to it as long as its outer surface not go all the way in. Gland may also establish the manner shown in Fig. 439.
Install the camshaft gear on camshaft (do not forget the wedge) and tighten the bolt with a washer. Keeping a camshaft in a stationary state (for example, using the old timing belt) and tighten the bolt to 80 Nm.
Other works carried out in sequence, return to removal process.
