Dismantling the cylinder head



If the items are timing will be used repeatedly, each of the parts should be set back to the same place where it stood before dismantling. To avoid confusion, it is recommended to make a proper board with grooves for folding the removed parts.
Remove all items that are located on the cylinder head. Remove the four nozzles from the head and put them in such a way that they are well protected against damage due to shock each other. Remove the spark plugs.
Hold the cylinder head, with bolted to the mounting screw of the exhaust manifold clamp in a vice.
Remove the camshaft (see. P. 17.8.1).

Standard tool for removing and installing valve and method of installation is shown in Fig. 394. Heel tool must be on the inner side of the spring seat of the valve, since otherwise not be able to compress the spring. Press the lever tool and compress a spring so that it was possible to remove half of the valve stem. To remove the valve can also be used a piece of pipe that fits over the upper spring plate. Under the valve plate with the other hand it is necessary to enclose something to fix it. Briefly hit with a hammer on the pipe so that the left half of the valve stem. They will remain inside the pipe. But do not tear off the pipe from the spring plate, so as not to lose half of the valve stem.
Plates valve springs can also be compressed using two screwdrivers. In this case, put the cloth in the combustion chamber of the cylinder head to the valve is not collapsed down.
Remove half of the valve stem and spring, and then remove the valve.

Remove the valve stem seals. To remove the valve stem seals is best to use a special tool (3047A), as shown in Fig. 395. The tool is a semblance of a plastic mallet to the adapter, which is inserted under the stem seals the valve stem. Valve stem seals can be removed, and with the help of a screwdriver corner. However, in this case, you should pay special attention not to damage the surface of the hole bucket tappets. Always install a new valve stem seals.
Remove the bottom of the hole plate diaphragm spring.
