Total demolition
Before starting the disassembly should be thoroughly clean the entire surface of the engine. All openings of the engine should be shut clean cloths to prevent the ingress of foreign bodies inside. When disassembling should be filmed to mark the location of all parts and components for the assembly to install them to their original position in the event of their re-use. This is especially important for the pistons, valves, caps and bearing shells. Fold detail so as to prevent any confusion. In no case do not mark the bearings and seals scratches on their surface or using the core. To remove any parts of the engine can be used only rubber, plastic or leather-covered hammer. Disassembly of the engine in the following order: - Remove the part on the engine (ignition distributor, exhaust manifold, the injection parts, the inlet chamber the inlet pipe, etc.); - Remove the upper and lower protective cover of the valve timing and the timing belt 1 (see. P. 3.7.1); - Remove the tensioner 4 toothed belt;

- Lock the lock crankshaft stationary, unscrew the bolt 3 and remove the toothed pulley 2 (Fig. 103) from the crankshaft; - Remove the water pump; - Remove the oil filter and the oil cooler (see. Sect. 4.5); - Remove the dipstick with a guide; - Unscrew the bolts and remove the cylinder head cover and immediately discard the gasket; - Remove the cylinder head; - Turn the engine crankcase and remove the top pan gasket; - Remove the bolts of the oil pump to the bottom of the crankcase and remove it; - Number the (preferably color) connecting rod bearing caps. Their numbers should match the cylinder;

- Turns unscrew bolts 2 (fig. 104), bearing cap, with two connecting rod bearings should always be in the bottom dead center, when taking their covers; - At a time remove the connecting rods with pistons from cylinder bores. Liners and bearing caps immediately should be bolted to the respective connecting rods. Bearings rods screwed "compliant screws" and re-using them is unacceptable; - Number the main bearing cap figures, bearing number 1 - from pulleys, and number 5 - on the side of the flywheel (see. P. 2.6.1) and remove the crankshaft; - Remove the intermediate shaft pulley; - Unscrew and remove the holder of an intermediate shaft. Remove the intermediate shaft from the engine. If, after disassembly of the engine inside the cylinder is found metal shavings or other signs of damage to the metal, it is necessary to conduct a thorough cleaning of oil channels and oil injection nozzles and replace check valve oil recycling and oil cooler, since the metal particles are bound to be there. The circuit assembly housing shown in Fig. 104. It does not show the holders front and rear seals and intermediate shaft, as they are described in Sec. 3.6.4 and Sect. 3.9).
