Removing and installing brake booster



Withdrawal
Remove the trim on the driver's side
Remove the brake switch signal / brake pedal switch
Remove the holder switch of stoplights.
Disconnect the brake pedal from the brake booster

Remove the support bracket, through which passes the push rod of the amplifier (Fig. 6.16).
Remove the liner plenum chamber
Remove the seal of the engine compartment and the bar in the brake booster.
Remove the wall with a plenum chamber.
Remove the plug from the pressure sensor in the brake system.
Remove the plug from the sensor warning indicator float.
Remove the wire on "weight" in terms of "weight" on the back of the electrical box, remove the cable harness for brake booster from the holder and set it aside.

Remove the switch box to the left in plenum chamber of the attachment and set it as far as possible to the side (Fig. 6.17).
Put in a plenum chamber in the master cylinder enough of lint rags.
Pump out the maximum amount of brake fluid using a device for filling and leveling VAS 5234 or devices for filling and leveling VAG 1869/4 of the brake fluid reservoir.
On vehicles with a manual gearbox, remove clutch master cylinder hose and close the flap.
Remove the brake fluid reservoir. To do this, press the latches on the outside and at the same time remove the tank from the tank cap.
Remove the front left brake pipe from the holder on the master cylinder.
Remove the brake pipes from the master cylinder, close the brake pipes using plugs 1H0 698 311 A.
Unscrew the nuts on the master cylinder.
Carefully remove the brake master cylinder to the brake booster.
Remove the membrane potentiometer stroke
Remove the vacuum hose from the brake servo.
Remove the brake pipes from the triple holder to the brake booster.
Disconnect the brake pipe in the front left wheel arch front left.

Loosen the nuts on the brake booster (Fig. 6.18).
Carefully remove the brake booster of the plenum chamber.

Setting
Installation is carried out in reverse order.

NOTE
Keep the push rod ball joint to mount and depress the brake pedal in the direction of the brake booster so that the ball head snaps into place with an audible click.

After installation, bleed the brake system and traction.
After pumping the brake system must perform basic configuration of the pressure sensor in the brake system G201.
VAS 5051 and select the function connect
Adjust the brake sensor / brake pedal switch
