Check the thickness of the brake discs



PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Loosen the wheel bolts. The machine is on wheels.
2. Mark the position of the disc relative to the hub with paint, in order to establish a balanced wheel in its former position.
3. Set the machine on the stand.
4. Remove the wheel.
5. Measure the thickness of the brake disc. The factories use for this special pattern, or micrometer, since the wear of the disc is formed collar. You can measure the thickness of the brake disc and caliper ordinary. In this case, both sides of the brake disc, you must install the appropriate gasket thickness.
6. In order to obtain the exact thickness of the brake disc, you need to subtract the size of the measured thickness of the pads.

A warning

Make measurements at several places.


7. The size of the brake disc are given in section 7.2.
8. Replace always two brake discs, even if only one of the drives has reached the boundaries of wear.
9. For high risk or furrows deeper than 0.5 mm brake disc replaced.
