Release of air from brake system

After each repair brakes, where the opening system in pipes could penetrate the air. In these cases, the system is necessary to release the air. Air in the system may be determined by the soft brake pedal. It is necessary to eliminate the leakage of brake fluid and bleed the air from the system.

Venting is carried out by repeatedly pressing the brake pedal. This requires an assistant. Working practices are the same for all machines.

If the system will produce the air, it is necessary to release from each cylinder individually, as the air can penetrate all cylinders. However, if you replace or pawing brake (saddle or frame) or the brake cylinder, it is usually enough to let the air out of the cylinder.

The sequence of the air outlet:

- Brake or brake cylinder rear right;
- Brake or brake cylinder rear left;
- Brake Left Front;
- Brake Left Front.

A warning

During the release of air from the rear brake is not pressed down the brake balancer.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the dust cap from the valve of release of air cylinder, put on a clean hose, the second end of the lower half of the container filled with brake fluid (corresponding to a hose and container available in the automobile).
2. With the help of others "swing" the brake pedal for as long as the pressure rises in the system, who have felt the force of the brake pedal resistance.
3. If the pressure is sufficient, press the brake pedal all the way and hold.
4. Open the air release valve on the brake mechanism (or brake cylinder) by unscrewing it a half-turn spanner wrench. Collect any liquid in the container. See the hose was consistently lower than the fluid level in the tank.
5. As soon as the fluid pressure drops to close vent valve.
6. Swing again to pressurize. Push the pedal all the way and hold to open the air release valve until the pressure has dropped, close the vent valve.
7. Repeat the air outlet of the cylinder so long as the brake fluid will flow into the container without bubbles.
8. After the release of the air hose to remove the air release valve, wear a dust cap on the valve.
9. Bleed the other cylinder in the same way, and so on. D. Observe the sequence.

A warning

During the release of air from time to time to watch for the expansion tank. The brake fluid level must not fall too low, otherwise it will fall through the air into the tank system. Refill only new brake fluid.

10. After the release of air to fill the expansion tank to the mark "MAX".

A warning

When repairing used to install repair kit AG VW. Brake cylinder can go through without taking a car, unless you want to replace the housing. A partition is required if the cuff leaking or stuck pistons. If in case there are grooves or rust, brake cylinder is replaced completely. Not allowed grooves or rust removed with sandpaper. When changing brake cylinder view to the new cylinder has the same diameter as there are cylinders of two diameters.
