Rear disc brakes



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Loosen the adjusting nut of the parking brake cable.
  2. Remove the wheel.
  1. Disconnect the brake hose.
  1. Remove the caliper mounting bolts (2EA).
5. Remove the caliper and brake pads.
6. Remove the clamp and disconnect the parking brake cable.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check brake pads for wear and oil contamination and, if necessary, replace them.

Always replace all the pads on the same axle of a vehicle, even if only one shoe is worn.

The thickness of the linings of brake pads: 9.0 mm
Minimum thickness of brake lining pads: 2.0 mm

  1. Check the front and rear brake pads and mounting screws for wear or damage. When replacing the pads and replace the screws.
  1. Check for wear or damage, dustproof covers, as if the dust got into the saddle, replace or repair the caliper.
  2. Before replacing the brake pads, remove half the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
  3. Measure the thickness of the brake disc. Dial indicator, measure the brake disc run-out at a small distance from the outer edge.

Brake Disc Thickness:

Par: 10 mm
The minimum allowable: 8 mm

Maximum permissible palpation: 0,08 mm
Maximum allowable difference in the thickness of the brake disc: 0.01 mm

  1. Micrometer, measure disc thickness at eight positions, approximately every 45 ?� at a distance of 5 mm from the outer edge of the disc.
  2. Indicator of hour type check up palpation of a brake disk. The indicator of hour type fix in any convenient place and, turning the brake disk, define its palpation at a distance of 5 mm from the outer edge.
  1. If necessary, replace the brake disc.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the caliper and the piston for wear, damage, cracks and rust.
  1. Check the piston seal and cover for wear or break.
  1. Apply recommended grease to the following elements:
    - Piston seal: Brake fluid DOT 3 or DOT 4;
    - The inner surface of the cylinder calipers: Brake fluid DOT 3 or DOT 4;
    - Case piston: Brake fluid DOT 3 or DOT 4;
    - The outer surface of the piston: Brake fluid DOT 3 or DOT 4;
    - Covers the guide pin: lubricant for rubber.
  1. Special tool to press the piston caliper.
