Rear drum brakes



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the wheel.
  1. Remove the nut bearing rear wheel and remove the wheel hub with brake drum.
  1. Remove the lower return spring clip and spring brake pad support.
  1. Remove the brake pads together with the regulator.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Measure the inner diameter of the brake drum. Indicator of hour type check up palpation of a brake drum. Replace the brake drum if the inner diameter of the drum exceeds the limit.

Nominal diameter: 203.2 mm
Maximum diameter: 205.2 mm
The beating of the drum brake: 0.05 mm
  1. Measure the thickness of the rear brake pads. Replace all the brake pads on the same axle of a vehicle, even if only one block has a thickness less than the maximum allowable.

The thickness of the linings of brake pads: 4.5 mm
Minimum thickness of overlays brake pads: 1.0 mm

  1. Check the uniformity of fit brake pad to the brake drum.
  2. Examine the wheel cylinders for leakage of brake fluid.
  1. Inspect the brake shield for wear or damage.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Greasing grease the following points of contact pads:
    - The point of contact with the brake pads brake board;
    - The point of contact with the brake pad support plate.

Recommended lubricant: SAE J310, NLGI ?��2.

  1. Set the rack supporting the brake pad.
  1. Install the return springs on the brake pads.
  1. After installing the brake drum several times tighten the parking brake lever.
