The components of the front disc brake shown in Fig. 6.32.
Dismantling
Apply the compressed air into the hole of a brake hose to remove the piston and piston boot (Fig. 6.34). Remove the O-ring of the piston and the piston.
ATTENTION To remove the piston using the handle of a plastic hammer. Serve the air gradually to the extraction of the pistons of the caliper their tops have always been on the same level. Take primary and secondary pistons only once, otherwise the secondary piston may become distorted during removal. |
ATTENTION To prevent damage to the inner surface of the working brake cylinder, do not use a flathead screwdriver or other tool. |
Clean the surface of the piston and cylinder with trichlorethylene, alcohol or the recommended brake fluid. The applied brake fluid: DOT3 or DOT4.
Check Check the brake cylinder for wear, damage or rust. Check the surface of the piston cylinder for wear, damage or rust. Check out the bracket and slide the sleeve for wear. Check for damage or lubrication on the brake linings, as well as damage to the metal base pad.

|
Measure the thickness of the brake shoe lining in the most exposed areas. If the lining thickness of a brake pad is less than the limit, replace the brake pads (Fig. 6.36).
Assembly Wash all parts (except brake pad linings and brake pads) with isopropyl alcohol. Install the piston o-ring. Then apply the recommended brake fluid to the outer surface of the piston, install the piston in the brake cylinder.
Set anthers guide pins and guide pins. Install the pads and the brake cylinder. Connect the brake hose to the caliper. Tightening torque of the clamping screw: 7-9 Nm. Fill a tank with hydraulic brakes with brake fluid. Bleed the brakes.
