The components of the rear disc brake shown in Fig. 6.38.
Dismantling Remove the wheel.
Remove the guide pins, raise the caliper assembly upward and remove the pad assembly (Fig. 6.40). When disassembling the rear disc brakes, disassemble both sides of the car (left and right). Removal of a sealing ring of the piston and the piston.
Wrap the saddle cloth. Apply the compressed air into the hole of a brake hose to remove the piston and piston boot. Remove the O-ring of the piston and the piston (Fig. 6.41).
ATTENTION Compressed air is supplied gradually. |
ATTENTION To prevent damage to the inner surface of the working brake cylinder, do not use a flathead screwdriver or other tool. |
Clean the surface of the piston and cylinder with trichlorethylene, alcohol or the recommended brake fluid. The applied brake fluid: DOT3 or DOT4.
Check Check the brake cylinder for wear, damage or rust. Check the surface of the piston cylinder for wear, damage or rust. Check out the bracket and slide the sleeve for wear. Check for damage or lubrication on the brake linings, as well as damage to the metal base pad.
Check the brake linings on the lack of lubrication and excessive wear of the friction surface. If necessary, replace the brake pads (Fig. 6.43).
NOTE If necessary, replace the brake pads from the pad assembly, replace the entire set of brake pads on the left and right sides of the vehicle. |
The thickness of the linings of brake pads (limit value): 2 mm Inspect the piston and an inner surface for wear, damage and corrosion. If necessary, replace damaged parts. Check the O-ring of the piston, the piston boot and anthers guide pin for wear and damage.
Assembly When disassembling the calipers use only new O-ring piston and piston boot. Apply the recommended working fluid on the surface of the sealing ring of the piston and the piston. Install the O-ring groove of the piston in the caliper hole, I try to sealing ring is not twisted. Install the piston boot on the piston.

|
Install the piston and piston boot into the caliper (Fig. 6.44). Insert the boot band to support and verify the boot landed in a groove around the circumference of the piston. Apply recommended oil to the inner surface of the guide pin anther.
Removing the brake disc Remove the wheel. Remove the caliper assembly and suspend it with a wire. Then loosen the two screws and remove the disk drive.

Check the disc for signs of wear or damage and replace it if necessary (Fig. 6.45).
