Removal and installation of additional cooling



Details of the installation of additional cooling (transmission 42RN and later 46RN)


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the grille (Chapter Body).
  2. Remove the condenser air conditioner if it will interfere with the implementation of the work (Chapter cooling systems, heating and air conditioning).
  3. Label cooling line in order to guarantee correct connection of the assembly.
  4. Place a container under the drain hose clamps cooler.
  5. Loosen the clamp and remove the hose clamps.
  6. Give all fixture coolant to the radiator and its support.

Details of the installation of additional cooling (AW-4 Transmission).

Details of the installation of additional cooling (transmission 42RE and early 46RN).
  1. Remove the extra cooler.
  2. Check the coolant hoses for cracks and cuts. Cut off the worn ends of the hoses. In the case of defects of the central portion of the hose (not at the ends), replace it.
  3. Install in reverse order. Track reliability of a tightening of all fasteners and hose clamps.
