Description of the engine
Engine FE DOHC (T8 DOHC) is a four-cylinder engine with overhead valves with a compression ratio of 9.2 (9.5).
The cylinder head is made of an aluminum alloy having high thermal conductivity and heat resistance, and is provided with combustion chambers multisfericheskimi with four valves per cylinder.
The cylinder block is cast iron and has sleeves. The crankshaft is supported by five bearings, front and rear crankshaft oil seals folding design. Piston fingers pressed into the small end of the connecting rod and have a floating landing in piston lugs. The big head of a rod installed removable rod bearing shells. The grooves in the rod of the connecting rod and the lid provide a flow of lubrication to the cylinder walls and produce a cooling of the piston.
Pressure lubrication is carried out by means of an oil pump located upstream of the crankshaft. Oil flows through the pump inlet filter, pump and full flow filter to the main and connecting rod bearings, crankshaft, camshaft bearings and the rocker arm.
The engine is equipped with a multi-channel sequential fuel injection (SFI), to compensate for thermal backlash of valves used hydraulic jacks.
For circulating the coolant and the engine cooling water pump is used, mounted in front of the cylinder block. Coolant temperature controlled by a thermostat located on the outlet pipes of the water jacket of the engine before the engine block.
Fan, activated depending on the temperature of the engine is mounted in front of the engine compartment. Management inclusion fan is a bimetallic temperature sensor.
PRELIMINARY CHECKS ENGINE
Check and adjust the engine, as described below. ACCUMULATOR BATTERY
PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Check for corrosion on the terminals or weaken their connections with wires. If necessary, clean and tighten. | 2. Make sure that the electrolyte level is between the UPPER and LOWER. If needed, add distilled water. | | 3. Use a hydrometer to measure the density of the electrolyte. If the density decreased to 1,200 or less, put the battery on charge. |
