The system EVAP
A system for collecting fuel vapor prevents evaporation of fuel vapors into the atmosphere from the fuel tank, thereby preventing the formation of photochemical smog.
Fuel vapors accumulate in the canister with the activated carbon. When the engine electronic control unit opens the valve and the fuel vapor into the engine where there is their combustion.
A control valve is used to control the pressure of fuel vapors in the fuel tank. The scheme of system EVAP Crankcase ventilation (PCV)
The valve crankcase ventilation system is controlled by vacuum created in the intake manifold during engine operation.
When the engine idling speed, the valve is opened slightly, resulting in a small amount of crankcase gas is diverted into the resonant chamber and further afterburned in the engine cylinders.
With increasing engine speed, opening degree of the valve increases, thereby increasing the amount of crankcase gas is diverted into the resonant chamber and further afterburned in the engine cylinders.
Driving crankcase ventilation (PCV) Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)
To reduce the emissions of nitrogen oxides by exhaust gases, the system delivers a small amount of recirculation of exhaust gases into the intake manifold, wherein the post-combustion takes place in the cylinders of the engine and decreases the combustion temperature of the fuel mixture. On vehicles Sephia / Shuma set specially developed new linear valve EGR. This valve performs the function of the solenoid valve and the exhaust gas recirculation control valve. Based on signals from the control valve controls the amount of exhaust gas supplied to the engine by moving core, the position of which is determined by the information received from the throttle position sensor, air flow meter and the coolant temperature sensor.
