Replacement of a protective cover of steering draft



Protective Case Tie Rod End

1 - a nut (replace);
2 - knuckle;
3 - lock nut;
4 - tie rod end;
5 - a protective cover rod end;
6 - a collar;
7 - a collar;
8 - a protective cover of steering draft;
9 - pin (replace)

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the front of the car and fix on supports.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Remove the plastic shield protecting the wheel arches.
4. Turn the wheel to the left until it stops.
5. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the nut trunnion ball joint tie rod to the steering knuckle.

A warning

To avoid damaging the thread stud, screw on a carving a time nut.


6. A stripper OK130 283 021 squeeze pin of the spherical rod end from the knuckle.
7. Note the relative position of the steering rod, lock nut and rod end.
8. Loosen the tie rod lock nut and unscrew the tie rod end from steering draft.
9. Attach the tie rod in a vise.

10. Establish a chisel, at a specified angle in the picture.
11. Gradually, being careful chisel and moving around the joint, bring down a protective cover.

A warning

Do not damage the surface of the joint, in contact with the protective cover.


12. Cut the wire and release the clamp of a protective cover of steering transfer.
13. Remove the lock nut from steering draft.
14. Moving on steering draft, remove the protective cover of steering transfer.
15. Remove the clamps with a protective cover.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Apply a small amount of grease inside the protective cover of tie rod.
2. The press and the mandrel install a protective cover on the tie rod end.
3. Fill in the new protective cover of steering transmission lubricant.

Quantity of grease: 30 g

4. Apply a thin layer of grease to the mating surfaces of a protective cover.
5. Pulling on steering draft, install a protective cover of steering transfer. Fix the big party cover wire wrapping it in two turns and tighten the ends of the wire 4-4,5 times.

A warning

Be careful not to damage the wire attachment case.


6. Secure the case with the smaller side clamp.
7. Screw the lock nut of steering draft and combine the labels put before a reversing of a nut.
8. Screw the tie rod, and combine the labels put before a reversing of a tip.
9. Tighten the tie rod lock nut.

Torque: 34-50 N ??? m

10. Establish a pin of the spherical rod end to the knuckle.

11. Screw the nut on the stud and tighten its demanded moment.

Torque: 29-44 N ??? m

12. Install the cotter pin.
13. Replace the plastic shield protecting the wheel arches.
14. Install the wheel.
15. Lower the car.
