The steering shaft

1 - driver airbag;
2 - lock nut;
3 - the steering wheel;
4 - column cover;
5 - coil spring;
6 - combination switch;
7 - the bottom casing;
8 - mounting plate;
9 - dust cover;

11 - the steering wheel lock;
12 - steering column assembly;
13 - the universal joint;
14 - an intermediate shaft

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Place the front wheels straight.
3. Remove the four screws and remove the airbag from the steering wheel.
4. Disconnect an electric socket from the switch of a sound signal.
5. Put combination labels on a steering shaft and steering wheel to the right to be reinstalled.
6. Remove the retaining nut and remove the snap ring from the end of the steering shaft.
7. A stripper, remove a steering wheel.

A warning

Do not remove the steering wheel, hitting the hammer shaft end. This will lead to damage to the bearings and the shaft thread.


8. Remove the three screws and remove the bottom of the column cover.
9. Remove the three screws that secure the combination switch.

10. Disconnect an electric socket of the combination switch.

11. Moving on the steering column, remove the combination switch.
12. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition.
13. Remove the screw securing the ignition.
14. Remove the ignition.
15. Remove the two clamping screws on the universal joint.
16. Remove the bottom two nuts steering column bracket.
17. Remove the two screws on the upper steering column bracket.
18. Remove the steering column of the vehicle.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Place the steering column into the vehicle.
2. Replace the bottom two nuts steering column bracket.
3. Replace the two screws on the upper steering column bracket.

Torque:
Nuts: 16-23 N ??? m
Bolts: 16-23 N ??? m

4. Replace the two clamping screws on the universal joint.

Torque: 18-26 N ??? m

5. Turn the ignition switch.
6. Connect to the ignition switch electrical connector.
7. Connect the switch to a combined electric socket.
8. Set the combination switch on the steering column.
9. Install the upper and lower casings of a steering column.
10. Screw in the three screws that secure the column cover.
11. Connect the connectors and install the coil spring on the shaft of the steering column.
12. According to earlier put labels establish a steering wheel.
13. Install the snap ring and screw lock nut.

Torque: 39-49 N ??? m

14. Connect the electrical connector sound.
15. Establish a safety pillow.
16. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
