Checking the components of the exhaust system
 | Be careful !, - The components of the exhaust system, in particular the catalytic converter, heated during engine operation to very high temperatures! |
| - Do not turn off the engine, driving a car on the overpass / viewing hole, or post it on the lift.
- Carefully inspect the receiving section of the exhaust system, check it for any signs of leakage of exhaust gases.
- Also check for leakage of the catalytic converter, - in view of the thermofilter in this case the test should be carried out as a rumor.
- Inspect the muffler, connecting and outlet sections - pipe connecting the catalytic converter with a silencer, also equipped with thermal protector screen.
- Stop the engine and wait for the complete cooling of the components of the exhaust system.
| In no case do not touch the screen thermofilter catalytic converter with the engine running! Remember that the inverter will remain hot for quite some time even after the engine stopped! |
