Removal and installation Manual transmission



PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Post the car off the ground.
  3. Drain the transmission oil (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
  1. Remove the rear and front (at a corresponding complete set) drive shafts - do not forget to mark the position of the shaft relative to its flange.
  1. Disconnect electroconducting from the gauge-switch of fires of a backing.
  1. At a corresponding complete disconnect the connector of the sensor-activated four-wheel drive mode switch on the transfer case.
  1. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the speed sensor (VSS).
  1. Remove the bolts transmission assembly to the engine and remove the scarf stretching.
  1. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the crankshaft position sensor (CKP).
  1. Remove the starter motor (see chap. Systems of an electric motor), the support bracket of the exhaust system (see. Power supply systems, engine control / emission control and exhaust) and stretching scarf.
  2. Remove the retaining bolt and remove the support bracket fixing the clutch hose, then give the bolts and remove the slave cylinder.
A - Petrol models
B - Diesel models
  1. Remove the gear lever Manual transmission (see. Section Removal and installation Manual transmission shift lever).
  2. At a corresponding complete set remove the lever shift transfer case (see chap. The transmission line).
  1. Support the support beam transmission assembly trolley jack.
  1. Remove the bolts and lower the beam final on the jack with the transmission assembly.
  1. Remove the bolt rubber cushion support suspension transmission assembly.
  2. At a corresponding complete set turn out fixing bolts and separate from Manual transmission transfer case.
  3. Installation is in the reverse order - Ensure compliance with the Specifications Chapter five-speed manual gearbox shift to the efforts of a tightening of threaded fasteners.

Before connecting the transfer case lubricate its mating surface sealant. When connecting the drive shafts track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of the landing labels.
