Check the camshaft and pushers
Camshafts PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. In order to measure the heartbeat of camshafts, refer to a specialist. | | 2. Inspect the neck bearing shaft for scratches and signs of wear. If the shafts are worn, replace them with the cylinder head. Measure the diameters of the bearing journals. | | 3. Inspect the cam shaft for wear. Using a micrometer, measure the height of the cams. If the wear exceeds the limits of the cam, replace the camshaft. | | 4. Measure lubricating camshaft bearing clearances using a plastic gauge. If the backlash exceeds admissible limits, replace the camshaft and recheck. If the result remains unchanged, replace the cylinder head. | | 5. Determine the width of the crushed plastic strips on a special table. |
|
Pushers PERFORMANCE ORDER | | 1. Inspect the surface of the tappets for wear, scratches and signs of overheating. If one or more pushers are damaged, you must replace all pushers. | 2. Measure the outer diameters and inner diameters of pushers corresponding holes in the head. Subtract the diameter of the hole diameter of the pusher, and you get the value of a lubricant backlash. Calculate the clearance of all the pushers and compare them with the technical requirements. If gaps pushers exceed allowable limits, replace pushers or crown. |
