Sequence of a tightening of bolts


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Remove the distributor of ignition.
3. Remove the gas distribution belt and sprocket camshafts.
4. Measure the free lift shafts with a special instrument. If the value of a free wheeling exceeds admissible limits, replace the camshaft and / or the thrust plate or cylinder head.
5. Using the reverse sequence tightening, loosen several approaches (1/4 turns) bolts of covers of bearings of camshafts (see. Fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts).
6. Remove the lid and place them in order. All covers must be numbered and marked with the letters I (cover inlet camshaft) or E (cover exhaust camshaft).
7. Remove the camshaft.
8. Remove the tappets with a magnet.
9. Place the pushers in order to during installation not to confuse them.

A warning

Hydraulic lifters should keep upside in clean engine oil.


10. Carefully clean camshafts and remove their seals.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Apply pushers molybdenum grease and install them on the spot.
2. Apply molybdenum grease on the cams and necks of bearings of camshafts.
3. Install the shaft to the head. Install bearing caps shafts and insert the bolts.
4. Before installing do not forget to apply sealant to the junction with the head surface of the first cover.
5. Using the specified sequence, tighten the cap bolts in several steps (1/4 revolution) (see. Fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts).
6. Install the new camshaft oil seals.
7. Install the remaining parts of the engine and check the operation. In the event, any extraneous sounds, inspect pushers (see. Subsection 3.1.10) or contact a specialist.
