Cylinder head



Sequence of a tightening of bolts of a head of cylinders

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the spark plugs.
3. Drain the coolant.
4. Remove the air intake pipe.
5. Remove the resonator.
6. Remove the throttle cable and throttle.
7. Remove the vacuum brake hoses, fuel hose, radiator hoses, vacuum hose cruise control system and heater hoses.
8. Disconnect all cables from the head.
9. Remove the bolts and nuts of the water pipe.
10. Remove the water pump pulley and the drive belt.
11. Remove the air intake and fuel line.
12. Remove the intake manifold.
13. Disconnect an exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.
14. Remove the valve cover.

15. Remove the timing belt cover and distribution belt.

16. Remove the drive belts power steering pump and alternator.
17. Remove an arm of the generator.
18. Remove the ignition distributor.
19. Remove the screws power steering pump and position the pump side.

20. Inspect the head and remove the parts prevent the removal of the head.

21. Loosen the head bolts in stages over a quarter of a turn. Loosen the bolts in sequence of return sequence of a tightening.
22. Remove the screws and remove the head.

23. Inspect the head.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Carefully clean and inspect for scratches and damages joined surfaces of a head and the cylinder. Small scratches can be cleaned with fine sandpaper.
2. Clean the head bolt threads and threads in the cylinder block using taps and dies of appropriate size.
3. Install a new head gasket.
4. Establish a head on the block.
5. Grease the bolt threads with oil, insert the bolts and tighten them with your fingers.
6. Tighten bolts in several steps in the sequence.

7. Install the remaining parts and components, connect all hoses and wires. Fill with coolant and check the engine.
