Cylinder heads



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Drain the coolant. Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the pipe.
3. Remove the intake pipes and the air filter. Remove the intake manifold.
4. Remove the exhaust manifolds.
5. Remove the generator. Disconnect the spark plug. Remove the breaker distributor and ignition coil.
6. Remove the gas distribution belt, the camshaft sprocket, tensioner timing belt pulleys, and intermediate.
7. Remove the camshafts and valve lifters.
6. Unscrew the bolts and remove the back cover of the timing belt.
7. Remove the tubes with coolant cylinder heads.
8. Remove the screws and remove the wiring harness from the back of head.
9. Using the reverse sequence tightening, loosen several approaches (1/4 turn) the cylinder head bolts. Prepare the new bolts.
10. Remove the cylinder head.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Thoroughly clean and wipe solvent or acetone joined surfaces of heads and cylinder blocks.
2. Inspect mating surfaces for cracks, deep scratches or other damage. If you find the above head injuries must be treated in a specialized workshop.
3. Clean the head bolt holes with suitable taps.
4. Install the new head gaskets.
5. Install the cylinder head.
6. Coat the threads of the new bolts of a small amount of oil. Insert the bolts and tighten them in the sequence shown, using the instructions given in section 3.3.2.
7. Install remaining parts in reverse order.
