Front crankshaft oil seal



There are two methods of replacing the crankshaft front oil seal. You can remove the oil pump and knock the stuffing box (the recommended method), or use the easier method described below.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Lock the crankshaft pulley bolt and unscrew.
3. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
4. Remove the gas distribution belt and crankshaft sprocket.
5. Remember the planting depth gland and remove it with a special tool or screwdriver.
6. Clean and lubricate the oil seal groove of a new oil seal with engine oil.
7. Install the new oil seal in place.
8. Establish the remained details, get the engine and check for leaks.
