Oil-exchanger / coolant



Heat exchanger (cooler) is associated with circulation oil and coolant lines and the recirculation line. The pipelines are connected to the oil pump side through the oil pan.

The following describes the operations performed on the diesel engine of 2.2 / 2.5 liters.

Withdrawal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the battery wire "mass" (-).
A warning

This erased anti-theft radio code.


2. Remove the bottom cover of the engine compartment and remove it.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Drain the coolant.
5. Remove the bolt (2) and remove the hose (1) connecting the heat exchanger with water pump. Pay attention to the installation position of the pipes (arrow).
6. Remove the heat exchanger from the oil pan, remove the bolts (8). Bolt with hexagon socket (9) for the oil line is set only when the automatic transmission.
7. Remove the coolant hoses (1) with O-rings (2).
8. Remove the oil lines (7) with O-rings (6).

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is in the reverse order of removal. The sealing rings are always replaced by new ones. Rings for coolant hoses prior to installation for the prevention of adhesion of grease the coolant and engine oil is not.
2. Screws holding the heat exchanger to the oil pan and tighten to a torque of 10 Nm
3. Replace the bottom cover of the engine compartment.
4. Pour the engine oil.
5. Fill the coolant.
6. Connect the "weight" of the battery (-).
7. Set the clock.
8. Set the anti-theft code for the radio.
