Brake system






Mercedes E-Class is equipped with a hydraulic dual-circuit braking system. In comparison with the previous model, it set a larger brake discs on the front and rear wheels.
Particular attention was paid engineers of the rear brakes. The diameter of the brake discs is 278 mm, which is 20 mm longer than the previous model. The diameter of the front brake discs increased by 4 mm.
Increased thickness and surface linings of the front brake pads, which substantially increased their lifespan. Front-wheel disc brakes are applied to the floating caliper. E-Class models are equipped as standard with ABS with electronic control.
