Troubleshooting in the system of the central lock

Infrared control system in combination with the alarm system is fitted as standard in the E-Class. Management of the central lock with pneumatic drive is controlled switches in the front door lock and the tailgate. Depending on the signal electronic key or the direction of its rotation in the lock pins to the "masses" are closed, and the pump drive receives the forward or reverse rotation. Thus it actuates the system, creating a pressure or vacuum. Pneumatic central locking operates almost silently - no clicks magnets, or buzz of the electric motor, as is the case in some other cars. Switch on the center console can be locked from inside the vehicle.
