Checking the engine oil
Check the oil level after every second refueling with gasoline. If the engine is old, with high oil consumption, it makes sense to check the oil level at each refueling to a full tank.
"Before every ride" 1. Before starting the engine check the oil level on a cold engine. The car must be horizontal. If you want to check the oil after the trip, wait 5 minutes to allow all the oil in the glass pan. 2. Remove the dipstick. Be careful when measuring in a warm engine: items that are located close to the engine is hot. Dipstick, wipe with a clean cloth. All the way to slide the probe into the socket, wait for a while and, taking him, check the level again.

3. If the oil level is between the marks on the dipstick (Fig. 5.21), then that's all right. The oil should be topped up only if the level is close to the level of "minimum". The area between the marking "a minimum" and "maximum" amount corresponds to 2 liters. For topping up oil with a clean funnel. Add oil so that the level was below the "maximum" (top mark). Excess oil in the engine under certain conditions, can be absorbed through the crankcase ventilation in the air, much clogging it.
