Engine oil

The oil consumption due to the fact that when the engine is partially supplied to the combustion chamber and burns there with the working mixture. The oil may enter the combustion chamber through a faulty valve seals, worn piston rings, too big a gap between the piston and the cylinder bore or between the valve guide and stem. Under normal conditions, the vehicle oil consumption is insignificant. If the engine of your car in good condition, it consumes about 0.2 liters per 1,000 km. The oil must be topped up in the event that the level is at the level of ?�Nachfull?�. Number of add oil when it is 2 liters.

A WARNING

Unacceptable level of oil above $ ?�Maximal?�, since the unburned oil can get into the exhaust system and damage the catalytic converter. Excess oil must be drained.

PRACTICAL ADVICE

Big oil consumption

Pay attention to the following circumstances:

1. Before you can control the flow of oil, it is necessary to visually verify that there are no oil leakage from the engine.

2. If the oil level above the maximum mark on the dipstick, the oil consumption will always be greater, as its surplus goes through the crankcase ventilation system.

3. multigrade oil, which has long been used in the engine requires constant refilling.

4. "The harsh driving style" not only increases fuel consumption, but also oil, especially when driving at high speeds.

5. Oil consumption is always greater in the run-in of the new car (minimum mileage - 5000 km).

6. Oil consumption increases with engine trouble, if, for example, worked together valve seats, hardened valve seals, properly planted or damaged rings, cylinder walls.
