Engine adjustment

Check and adjust clearance in the valve mechanism in the engine M and M 102,939 102,920

Removal of the power unit is carried on top of the car.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Remove the air filter. Disconnect the hose of steam-cooling system of the cylinder head cover. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover. Uncover the sensor-distributor of ignition and disconnect the wire from the spark plug. Remove the cylinder head cover together with a bunch of wires and ignition cap ignition gauge-distributor. Remove the spark plugs. Turn the crankshaft clockwise the key for the pulley bolt, put a camshaft in a position in which the cams corresponding to one of the cylinders will be directed to the opposite side of the rocker. Check the clearance feeler gauge both ball valves between the end of the adjusting screw and the valve stem. In this check the correct position of the adjusting screw relative to the valve stem. The gaps in the mechanism of the valve, mm: normal gap between the end of the adjusting screw and the valve stem to measure the probe is in a cold engine to the intake valves 0.15 mm exhaust valves 0.20 mm, and the engine is hot, and 0.30, respectively 0.35 mm. In the event of a gap, adjust by turning the adjusting screws by loosening the lock nut. After adjustment, tighten the lock nut and check the clearance, and then adjust the gap in the remaining valves in the order of cylinders (1-3-4-2). After adjustment, replace the cylinder head cover, after checking the condition of the gasket. Replace the spark plug, connect the wiring harness plug, replace the cover of the sensor-distributor of ignition and air filter, connect hoses.
