Removing and installing steering wheel



3des in the future we are talking about cars that are not equipped with airbags (air-bag).

On vehicles manufactured from September 1979 instead of the cone bolt nut is installed, which is replaced by a new one.


Removing the steering wheel lock

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the top trim starting from the bottom left (right) angle around the steering wheel (for vehicles manufactured before August 1979) and remove the cover with a decorative logo in the center of pad.
  2. Align the steering wheel so that the groove (arrow) facing up.
  3. Put labels of mutual position of the steering wheel and column shaft.
  4. Lock locking steering column lock and remove the Allen key countersunk screw, which requires considerable effort.
  5. 6 Remove the large hexagon nut.
  6. Remove the steering wheel from the shaft splines.
  7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
  8. The steering wheel is tightened nut torque 8.0 kgs.m.
