Details of the installation of the input node of the steering mechanism

PERFORMANCE ORDER

All the self-locking nuts and bolts must be replaced without fail!

  1. Details of the installation of the steering mechanism shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Pump the hydraulic fluid from the tank GUR.
  3. Remove the front axle assembly (see. Section Removal and installation of assemblage of the front axle).
  4. With the help of a stripper release the rod ends (10a) of the steering knuckle, - self-locking nuts must be replaced without fail.
  5. Bring the front wheels in the straight-ahead position, and then remove the key from the ignition.
  6. On vehicles with parametric steering Disconnect wiring connector SPS on the cylinder head cover.
  7. Disconnect the return line (30f) and the expansion pressure hose (30i).
  8. Loosen the nut (25d) bolting and separate the lower steering column shaft (80a) of the input node (25).
  9. Remove the screws (23a) and remove the steering assembly (23) with the sub-frame (1).
  10. Assess the rubber feet (21), in case of need make replacement.
  11. Installation is performed in reverse order, track correctness of fit shims (23h and 23i), installed between the rubber mounts and subframe only the right side of the assembly - washers differ in thickness. Do not forget to change the sealing elements choke connectors hydraulic lines.
  12. Fill the reservoir steering pump fresh fluid and bleed the hydraulic path (see. Section Filling and "pumping" of the steering pump).
  13. Make sure there are no signs of leaks.
  14. In conclusion, if the steering mechanism was replaced, drive to a service station to adjust the convergence of the front wheels.
