The steering consists of a steering wheel, steering column, steering rack and a rack and pinion steering gear and linkage. The steering column sends steering wheel movement on the steering mechanism. Rack steering according to the steering wheel is moved to the right or left. The steering rods through the knuckle joints and steering effort is transmitted to the front wheels.

Rack and pinion steering gear made backlash-free and maintenance-free. As part of the service requires only control of protective covers and dustproof caps tips of steering drafts.

The steering of the car has a hydraulic actuator, which provides reduction of force applied to the steering wheel. The gain increases with increasing speed. Hydraulic reservoir contains the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic pump sucks fluid from the reservoir and feeds it under high pressure to the control valve in the steering mechanism. The control valve has a mechanical connection with the steering spindle and directs the fluid according to the rotation of the steering wheel in a corresponding cavity of the working cylinder in the housing of the steering mechanism. Here, the liquid acts on the piston, and thus supports the process of governance. Simultaneously, the piston pushes the fluid from the other chamber of the working cylinder through the return line to the reservoir fluid.

Operation speed-sensitive power steering (SPS)

Electronic control SPS Y10 solenoid valve is carried by the control unit N47 depending on vehicle speed.

By rotating the steering pinion gear (4b) acts on the rail (4j). Rotary slide (4k) via the torsion rod (4a) is rotated around the control sleeve (4i) and rests against the rail (4j), which leads to a change in the relative position of control grooves. This allows the flow of oil under pressure supplied to the chamber of the left or right actuator cylinder (I or II), causing the axial displacement of the rack (4j) in the corresponding direction. The oil from the slave cylinder is displaced unloaded and return through the open groove in the control sleeve (4i) is directed back to the reservoir of the steering pump.

security measures

Production of welding and straightening work on steering components is not permitted. Self-bolts and nuts and bolts and nuts with corrosion should be replaced with new ones.

Tightening torques must always be maintained.

The steering wheel is the driver's airbag. The airbag is a foldable air bag which is filled with air in a frontal collision of a vehicle and thus protects the upper torso and head of the driver. When a frontal collision the corresponding power control unit sends a signal to the airbag fuse of. The explosion produces a gas cushion which in a few milliseconds. This time is enough to dampen the movement of the moving forward of the upper body of the driver. Thereafter, for several seconds again folded airbag, since gases out of the pillow through the opening.
