Removing and installing selector module (ESM)



Details of the installation of the electronic selector module (ESM)

1 - Bowden cable ignition interlock
1b - The locking tab
1c - Connector
2 - Bolt
3 - The intermediate lever
4 - Gasket

5 - Connector
6 - Fuse
7 - Socket
8 - Link switch
N15 / 5 - ESM

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  2. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  3. Disconnect the traction drive switch (8) of the intermediate lever (3) below.
  4. Remove the center console
  5. Press locking tab (1b), turn connector (1c) at 90 ?� in the direction of the arrow and pull, disconnect a cable lock EIS (1) of the selector module (N15 / 5).
  6. Disconnect the connector (5).
  7. Remove the bolts (2).
  8. Remove the selector unit (N15 / 5), check the condition of its seal (4) - in case of need make replacement.
  9. Installation is in the reverse order.
  10. Finally, turn off the service mode of TELE AID and clean the memory module on-board self-test (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
