Removal and installation of the brushes and the operating element

Procedures similar to those described for the windscreen wipers (see. Accompanying illustration).

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the tailgate spare tire.
  2. Remove the cover and take the nut on the axis of the lever.
  1. Gently prying, remove the lever from the axis (see. Accompanying illustration).

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Slide the lever on the axle and align the brush, placing it in a 55 ÷ 65 mm over the glass sealing tape. Motor should first put in park position.
  2. Tighten the nut on the axis of the lever.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Remove the wiper arm.
  3. Remove the interior trim of the tailgate.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector on the motor.
  5. Give fixing bolts (see. Accompanying illustration) and remove the engine from the car.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the quality of the contacts of an electric socket and track reliability of its fastening.
  2. Tighten the bolts of the motor.
  3. Adjust the position of the brush on the glass.
