Refitting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  2. Poddomkratte back of the car and establish it on props.
  3. Working under the car, disconnect the wiring from the speedometer sensor (position sensor shown in the accompanying illustrations - in the inset shows the location of the connector terminals).

  1. Set under the hood extension suitable container to collect the oil, which can begin to flow when removing the sensor from the transfer case.
  2. Inspect drive gear teeth for signs of wear, chips and other damage. If necessary, replace.

Installation is in the reverse order.

Check of serviceability of functioning

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Connect a voltmeter to the terminals of the electrical connector.
  2. Set the instrument to the measurement mode AC voltage, quickly spin the speedometer drive clockwise and read the voltmeter.
  3. The result should be about 0.5 V.
  4. If necessary, replace the sensor.
