Service of the front axle assembly



Refitting

Models of Hardtop (Hardtop) and Universal (Station Wagon)

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Loosen the nuts of the front wheels.
  2. Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props, the institution under the frame members. Remove the front wheels.
  3. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil from the crankcase of the front axle.
  4. Mark the position of the front propeller shaft to the pinion flange and front flange of the drive transfer case. Remove the propeller shaft and remove it from under the car.
  5. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the crankcase breather hose of the front axle.
  6. Disconnect the brake pipe from the flexible brake hose, release the retaining clip and release the hose from the support bracket. Plug the open ends of the pipes and hoses in order to avoid falling into the hydraulic brake system of dirt.
  7. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the castellated nut ball joint pendulum arm tie rod to the steering knuckle arm. Release the finger of the spherical hinge of the pivot arm, pressing the striker hammer to the back of the ear tie-rod, and second hammer striking the opposite side of it. With a length of wire tie idler arm tie rod to the left side member of the chassis.
  8. Give fixing nuts, washers and remove the lower strut of the front axle housing.
  9. Give a nut, remove the washer, then hooked arm, separate the transverse torque rods from the crankcase of the bridge. Attach the post to the front axle by means of a length of wire.
  10. Remove the front coil springs.
  11. By means of two supports or jacks prop up the bridge in a horizontal position.
  12. Give nuts and remove the crankcase bolts to the longitudinal arms of the bridge, and then use an assistant remove the bridge from under the car.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Get a front axle assembly at the loading position, then insert the bolts of the longitudinal control arms, but do not tighten the nut at this stage.
  2. Set into place coil springs, transverse torque rods and dampers, but do not tighten at this stage of fixing nuts.
  3. Connect the idler arm tie rod and tighten the castellated nut to 46 ÷ 54 Nm. Insert a new cotter pin.
  4. Install the propeller shaft (sliding joint to the front axle). Track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of the landing labels. Tighten the mounting nuts and bolts to 78 ÷ 88 Nm.
  5. Connect the breather hose and the brake pipe, bleed the hydraulic system.
  6. Fill the axle housing required amount of oil required grades.
  7. Lower the car on the earth and tighten with the required (see. Table sizes and adjustments in the end of this manual) effort nuts trailing arms, shock absorbers and transverse jet bar.

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Loosen the nuts of the front wheels.
  2. Poddomkratte the front of the car and establish it on props, the institution under the frame members. Remove the front wheels.
  3. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil from the crankcase of the front axle.
  4. Mark the position of the front propeller shaft to the pinion flange and front flange of the drive transfer case. Remove the propeller shaft and remove it from under the car.
  5. Release collars and disconnect from the crankcase breather hose of the front axle.
  6. Disconnect the brake pipe from the flexible brake hose, release the retaining clip and release the hose from the support bracket. Plug the open ends of the pipes and hoses in order to avoid falling into the hydraulic brake system of dirt.
  7. Give fixing nuts, washers and remove the lower strut of the support plates of springs.
  8. Give nuts and remove the rack from the bar stabilizer lateral stability.
  9. Remove the cotter pin and unscrew the castellated nut ball joint longitudinal steering rod to the connecting rod. Release the finger of the spherical hinge of the connecting rod, pressing the striker hammer to the back of the ear tie-rod, and second hammer striking the opposite side of it. With a length of wire longitudinal tie rod to the left side member of the chassis.
  10. Give nuts of the U-bolt ladders and springs, remove the support plate. Lower the front ends of the spring to the ground.
  11. Horizontal prop up the front axle by means of two supports or jacks.
  12. Give fixing nuts and supporting the spring, remove them from the front end of the plate and the fingers of earrings.
  13. With the help of an assistant, remove the axle assembly from under the vehicle.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Ensure proper placement of the axle on the central bolt springs.
  2. Place your fingers, bushings and springs plate earrings, but do not tighten at this stage of fixing nuts.
  3. Install U-bolts and base plates ladders springs, tighten the retaining nuts with a force 108 ÷ 147 Nm.
  4. Install anti-roll bar trim and tighten the retaining nuts with a torque of 20 ÷ 23 Nm.
  5. Connect draglink to the connecting rod, tighten the nut to 88 ÷ 113 Nm, and install a new cotter pin.
  6. Connect the shock, but do not tighten the nut at this stage.
  7. Install the propeller shaft (sliding joint to the front axle). Track correctness of combination caused during the dismantling of the landing labels. Tighten the mounting nuts and bolts to 78 ÷ 88 Nm.
  8. Connect the breather hose and the brake pipe, bleed the hydraulic system.
  9. Fill the axle housing required amount of oil required grades.
  10. Lower the car on the earth and tighten with the required (see. Table sizes and adjustments in the end of this manual) effort nuts finger earrings springs and shock absorbers.
