PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Poddomkratte back of the car and establish it on props, the institution under the chassis frame.
    Lift the rear axle housing by means of a jack, instigated by its central part. It is necessary to completely unload the shock absorbers.
  2. Give a nut fastening the upper end of the shock absorber to the vehicle chassis. Remove the washers and rubber bushings (see. Accompanying illustration).

  1. Give a nut fastening the lower end of the damper to the base plate of the front axle. Remove the washers.
  2. Remove the shock absorber from the car.

Setting

Installation is in the reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Track correctness of installation of rubber bushings and washers fasteners.
  2. Track correctness of installation of the shock absorber. Dust sleeve must be facing downwards and is fitted on the lower end of the shock absorber.
  3. Tighten top and bottom mounting nut with a force of 30 ÷ 40 Nm after the weight of the car will be fully transferred to the wheels.

Checking and bleeding

The following describes the procedures for checking the state of the shock absorber to perform which do not require special equipment.


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Inspect the damper body for dents, other damage or leaks. A defective shock absorber restorative beyond repair and must be replaced.
  2. Check the condition of rubber plugs. Outer sleeve can optionally be replaced. When worn or damaged, the lower sleeve damper to be replaced in the assembly.
  3. Hold shock absorber vertically in a vise (the ring of the bottom support).
  4. Grasp the top of the shock absorber and pull, lift up until it stops, then slowly lower down, fully compressing shock.
  5. Repeat the last paragraph six to eight times, completely eliminating backlash, detects the presence of a shock absorber in the air. If the backlash is not eliminated, the shock absorber must be replaced.
