Dismantle and engine major repairs

This section details the procedure for execution of such works as the dismantling of the power unit from the car and repair the cylinder head, cylinder block / crankcase, and other details of the internal structure of the engine.

This subsection provides advice on the preparation and organization of work on major repairs and purchase of spare parts, as well as detailed procedures for dismantling the engine, check the technical condition, repair and installation of components and engine parts.

Starting with subsection 3.2.2.6 description is conducted on the assumption that the engine is removed from the vehicle. Description repairs without removing the engine from the car, as well as procedures for removing and installing the engine components and assemblies required to perform overhaul, refer to the appropriate subsection 3.2.1 and beyond, as well as in sections 3.2.2.1.1, After removal of the engine is meaningless perform preliminary operations on dismantling as described in Section 3.2.1 and then to the end of the section.

All normative data necessary for the overhaul are listed in section 3.2.2.2, except for the tightening torques specified in section 3.2.1.1.
